i'm just a nobody

i honestly think that high school boys are stupid and only like skanky whores. also, i really wish that i was natalie portman and can't stop watching garden state. that is all.

yesterday, i started watching this film and it really made me think about how society is structured to make people feel a certain way. it made me think about all the fake ads that we're surrounded with and how appearance is so heavily weighed among people. in the beginning, it showed a 12 year old girl who possed in revealing clothes and went to raunchy parties because she was a model. all of this was because she had the "perfect body" and a beautiful face. it next showed an interview with a different girl, her same age, who hated herself because of all the negative media surrounding her. are the corporations and media distributors to blame for this?

i know again i haven't been updating in a while but, i have been super busy and such... however, i am going to start writing more. i love reading other blogs and, i hope others like reading mine. also, i deleted all my old posts just to start fresh.  :]


i know the golden globes were last sunday but, i wanted to write down some of my thoughts of the outcome. i was happy for a few and yet very disappointed for a lot. for instance, how on earth could avatar get best picture? how is that possible. i still think james cameron somehow snuck in a rigged envelope. also, sandra bullock winning best actress for blind side? (a tie between her an meryl). how could all these things be winning when there are amazing, incredible, heart-breaking, emotional, ground-breaking films being shown this year. take precious for example. what an amazing film, although the only major awards being taken away for it are mo'nique being honored for best supporting actress. i believe this film deserves more. a lot more. take a look at the trailer if you haven't seen it yet.
